Our Story

Born in the shadows of the world's highest peaks. Dedicated to sharing the raw, untamed beauty of our home through authentic and sustainable trekking adventures.

Rooted in the Mountains

BESTTREKSNEPAL was founded in 2011 by two brothers from a remote village in the Solukhumbu (Everest) region. We didn't learn about these mountains from books; we grew up walking the very trails we now guide you on, carrying supplies and learning the deep rhythms of the high altitude. What started as a humble dream to show travelers the true, unfiltered beauty of our home has blossomed into a trusted expedition family.

For us, the mountains are more than just a destination; they are our sacred heritage, our culture, and our lifeblood. We believe in taking a profoundly mindful approach to adventure tourism—ensuring the fragile alpine environment is fiercely protected while directly uplifting the local mountain communities that make these journeys possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about our company, our values, and how we operate

Why should I choose BESTTREKSNEPAL?

BESTTREKSNEPAL is 100% locally owned and operated. Unlike international agencies, we have deep roots in the mountains and a personal stake in the well-being of our communities. We offer small group sizes, expert local guides, and a commitment to authentic, sustainable experiences that you won't find elsewhere.

Are your trekking guides certified?

Yes, all our guides are government-licensed professionals who have undergone rigorous training. Most of our guides were born and raised at high altitudes and have years of experience leading expeditions. They are also certified in Wilderness First Aid and altitude management.

What is your commitment to sustainable tourism?

Sustainability is at our core. We practice "Leave No Trace" ethics, minimize plastic use, and partner with eco-friendly teahouses. Additionally, a portion of our profits goes directly to supporting education and healthcare in the remote villages where our guides and porters come from.

How do you ensure safety on high-altitude treks?

Safety is our top priority. We use oximeters to monitor your oxygen levels daily, carry comprehensive medical kits, and follow strict acclimatization protocols. Our guides are trained to recognize early signs of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), and we have 24/7 emergency response and helicopter evacuation plans in place.

Do you offer custom or private itineraries?

Absolutely! While we have scheduled group departures, we specialize in tailor-made private journeys. Whether you want to adjust the pace, change the route, or add a specific destination like Tilicho Lake or Tsum Valley, we can build the perfect itinerary for you.
